This shield has saved many lives. Both officers and subjects due to it's light weight, and design. It is made to be with the patrol officer on the street. With proper training, an officer can respond very quickly to an active shooter situation, such as in a school or business. Statistics show that the longer responding officers wait for SWAT or other back up to a single shooter, the more victims fall to the suspect.
