US Armor is but one of a few armor manufacturer's that make a fully USA made product. Many other brands have their carriers made in Mexico. This turned out to be an issue for one officer I helped. The manufacturer he bought from was going to charge $100/inch to alter his vest, due to having to make a whole new carrier. (BUY AMERICAN!)

We have found out that for Minnesota agencies who do NOT use Federal BVP grants, the State grant still covers vest models certified under older NIJ standards. Many officers find the XLT is one of the most comfortable vests they have ever worn.

Here is a concealable vest measuring form. If you decide to measure yourself, please be sure to have someone assist you.
A few key points to follow:
Be sure to have your duty belt ON. Do not measure over your old vest. When measuring, do NOT go compleatly to the duty belt, give a "finger width" above it. This will prevent any length problems with curling or jamming your neck. The "sitting" is probably the most critical. Be sure to only measure a finger width above the EQUIPMENT. When you sit in the squad, most vests curl due to hitting your gear.
